Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider

This was truly amazing novel. Ellen Maze pulls you into this amazing world then takes you through a roller coaster. The characters are solid and the story line is amazing. For anyone who thought you can never make a story about Vampires and Christianity work, this novel will prove you wrong. Ellen wrote such an amazing book and I am so happy – and if you read this book you will be too – that there is going to be another one to continue the story into this great world.

“His Calling” Jail Scene completed animation phase

Done animating the jail scene of “His Calling” with Valeska Diaz as Debbie and Michael Loiselle as Tom. Now I got to export all that animating into files for me to edit. Hopefully it will get done tonight so I can start editing together on the train tomorrow – highly unlikely I will be ready for me to edit tonight. :-(

A Review of our Film Alleyway

A review from a user on TriggerStreet.com

Alleyway Review

The only problem I had with this was when the girl looks down the alley and says “Looks pretty dark..” But the alley was really well lit. Yes, it did get darker deeper in but it just seemed visually the opposite of what we were hearing. I shoot in DV as well and know however, how badly it performs in low light.

Loved the twist and actually feel silly that I did not see it coming.

The editing was very good too. Timing of cuts were good. Camera work was nice and steady. Good framing. Loved the creepy synthesizer score reminiscent of 80′s horror films. That really sets the mood.

Acting was a bit stiff but hey, good enough for no-budget or student short film work. I know I have hard time just finding people who are even brave enough to be filmed! The actors looked the part. Creepy guy in alley was really creepy (no offense to the actor, I am sure he is a nice person).

All in all a nice, tight short film. Moved along nicely yet retained enough tension without lingering takes. Created the right mood in such a short time. Dialogue was to the point.

I enjoyed this very much. Great work!
